SEPA EPA Begins Review of the Ritari Post & Pole site Sebeka, Minnesota The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is conducting a five-year review of the Ritari Post & Pole site located near Sebeka, Minn. The Superfund law requires regular checkups of sites that have been cleaned up- with waste managed on-site - to make sure the cleanup continues to protect people and the environment. This is the fourth five-year review of this site EPA's cleanup of the Ritari Post & Pole site was largely completed by 2007 and included on-site consolidation and capping of contaminated soil, groundwater monitoring, and property use restrictions. In 2007, a small area of contaminated soil was disposed of off-site in a licensed landfill Operation and maintenance activities for the on-site consolidation pile and groundwater monitoring are ongoing.
