We are conveniently located in downtown St. Paul just 1 1/2 blocks west of the Xcel Energy Center on West 7th Street. Free parking is available for our guests. The Downtowner Woodfire Grill was known as the Downtowner Café for 12 years. The original cafe was a small diner serving only breakfast and lunch. Famous for its Cajun Breakfast and Stuffed French toast, the Downtowner was and still is one of St. Paul’s favorite neighborhood restaurants. After extensive renovation the new Downtowner, now known as the Downtowner Woodfire Grill, re-opened its doors in August 2001, offering a truly unique experience for Twin Cities diners. With an open floor plan, water fountains in the bar and three fire places, the Downtowner offers a charming atmosphere. The Downtowner Woodfire Grill still serves its fabulous breakfasts and lunches. A unique and exquisite dinner menu was added that is as exceptional as the restaurant renovation itself. The menu is considered American Bistro with a Persian touch. The kitchen is open to the dining room; you can watch as your entree is being prepared. The Downtowner offers St. Paul fine dining at its best: We specialize in daily fresh seafood specials and fire roasted meats cooked on an oak-burning wood-fire grill using an ancient Persian cooking style. Authentic Persian flat-bread is made fresh daily and is served to all dinner guests. Try a fresh wood-fired pizza. You will definitely want to come back for more! Our St. Paul restaurant offers a beautiful private dining room that is available for special events and business meetings. The room can accommodate up to 34 people and can be reserved for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
