Executive Director The Wadena Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director is a representative and advocate for business owners and employers by promoting business, job development, and civic improvements in the community. Increasing membership and improving retention is a primary responsibility of the Director along with enhancing member benefits and programs. Responsibilities of the Executive Director include but are not limited to: Establishing and maintaining personal rapport with current and potential members quarterly. Promote development in the Wadena area by strengthening efforts to attract and retain businesses and tourism Promote, coordinate, and attend events focused on enhancing the community, encouraging trade, job creation and tourism in the Wadena area Always represent the Chamber in a professional and positive manner Degree in communications or a related field preferred. Three or more years of management, communications, marketing, or event planning preferred. Experience with Chamber of Commerce or similar foundation preferred. Basic computer skills including document preparation and spreadsheets required.
