A safe and free indoor Halloween event. All children must be accompanied by an adult to participate and to register for the costume contest. Oct. 27: Tricks or Trails from 2-4pm at Black's Grove Park. Enjoy a family hike with stops for tricks, treats and treasures along the way! Check in at shelter. Hosted by Roots & Wings Forest School, New York Mills. Oct. 27: Bertha-Hewitt PTO's Community Halloween Party from 2-5pm at Bertha-Hewitt School. Open to kids 12 and under but must be accompanied by parent/guardian, Free admission with nonperishable food/items. Oct. 27: Deer Creek Trunk-or-Treat from 4-5:30pm at Trinity Lutheran Church-Deer Creek parking lot. Hosted by Deer Creek Fire & Rescue and Trinity Lutheran Church. Oct. 31: Wadena Chamber's Halloween Kiddie Parade at 4pm in downtown Wadena. Line-up at 3:45pm in BN Park; look for canopy. Kiddos and families will parade and trick-or-treat along the sidewalk. (Aldrich will be closed down for safety too!) Oct. 31: Wadena Chamber's Trunk-or-Treat at The Depot.
